This is the complete Litematica version history by Minecraft version: the newest official build for every game version, from 1.20.1 through Minecraft 26.3. Litematica versions are organized per Minecraft version — each game release has its own line of builds — so a useful history is a mapping table, not a single changelog. Every entry below is the highest build published for that Minecraft version on the project’s official Modrinth page, checked in October 2026, with its file name and release date.
Why the Table Has Two Numbering Eras
On December 2, 2025, Mojang announced that Minecraft Java Edition was switching to year-based version numbers. The last release under the old system was 1.21.11 (December 9, 2025) — there is no 1.22. From 2026, versions read as year.drop.hotfix: 26.1 is the first game drop of 2026, 26.1.1 and 26.1.2 are its hotfixes, 26.2 is the second drop, and 26.3 the third. Litematica followed the game across the change, which is why the table below jumps from 1.21.11 straight to 26.1. Two maintenance eras also meet here: masa, the mod’s author, maintained Litematica directly up to the 1.20.x era; from Minecraft 1.20.5 onward, new-version builds on the official project have been ported and maintained by sakura-ryoko.

| 26.3 | 0.29.1 | litematica-fabric-26.3-0.29.1.jar | Sep 27, 2026 |
Read the file column carefully: the Minecraft version is baked into every jar name, and one jar frequently covers several game versions — the 26.1.2-named file serves the whole 26.1 drop, the 1.21.8 file covers 1.21.6 and 1.21.7, and the 1.21 file covers both 1.21 and 1.21.1. The dates are the Modrinth publish dates of each line’s newest file, which explains a pattern that confuses people: several older lines show mid-2026 dates on their final builds, because a line’s newest file can be refreshed on the project page long after its game version was current. The game version in the file name — not the date — is what decides whether a build is yours.
What the table cannot show is MaLiLib: every Litematica build needs the MaLiLib release made for the same Minecraft version and period (for example, 0.29.1 pairs with MaLiLib 0.30.2, and 0.26.16 with MaLiLib 0.27.20). The per-version pages linked below list each pair explicitly.
Three Entries Worth a Second Look
The 0.19.56 warning. In the 1.21/1.21.1 line, one historical build is literally named “0.19.56-do-not-use” on the official project — the maintainer marked it as a build players should not install. If an archive or a video description points you at 0.19.56, skip it and take 0.19.61, the line’s proper newest release. It is a good reminder that “any build for my game version” is not a safe rule; take the newest one.
The missing numbers. Some Litematica numbers circulate on third-party sites but do not exist on the official project — most notably “0.27.6” (and “0.27.1”/”0.27.3″) for Minecraft 26.1.2. The real 0.27 series contains only 0.27.9 through 0.27.14. Version history matters practically here: if a number is not in the project’s own list, the file behind it is not what its label claims.
The September 2026 refresh. Several lines received their current newest builds on the same day — September 5, 2026 brought 0.26.16 (1.21.11), 0.27.14 (26.1.x), and 0.28.8 (26.2) together, followed by 0.29.1 for the new 26.3 drop on September 27. That is also why older pages (including older versions of this site) can be one step behind on three lines at once: the numbers moved simultaneously.
How to Use This History
Find your Minecraft version in the left column, take that row’s build, and then open the matching version page for its MaLiLib pair and install steps: Minecraft 26.3, 26.2, 26.1.2, 1.21.11, and 1.20.1. For versions without a dedicated page, the build above plus the MaLiLib release for the same game version from the MaLiLib project is the complete recipe. The latest version page keeps the current lines in a short table, and the download hub holds the working download buttons for every supported version. Older individual builds within each line remain available in the version list on the project’s Modrinth page if you ever need to reproduce an exact older setup.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the newest Litematica version overall?
Litematica 0.29.1 for Minecraft 26.3, released on September 27, 2026. Every Minecraft version has its own newest build, though — for example 0.28.8 for 26.2 and 0.26.16 for 1.21.11 — so match the build to your game version.
Why is there no Litematica for Minecraft 1.22?
There is no Minecraft 1.22. Mojang switched Java Edition to year-based numbering in December 2025: 1.21.11 (December 9, 2025) was the last old-style release, and the next versions are 26.1, 26.2, and 26.3.
What does the 0.19.56 ‘do-not-use’ build mean?
One historical build in the Minecraft 1.21/1.21.1 line is named ‘0.19.56-do-not-use’ on the official project — the maintainer marked it as a build players should not install. Use 0.19.61, the newest proper release for 1.21 and 1.21.1, instead.
Where can I download an older Litematica build?
Older builds within each line stay available in the version list on the project’s Modrinth page. Pick the file whose name contains your Minecraft version — and for normal use, take the newest build for your version rather than an older one.
